About EFAMA
The European Funds and Asset Management Association (EFAMA)
is the representative association for the European investment management industry.EFAMA's mission is:
- To provide an effective voice for the investment management industry;
- To bring about conditions conducive to promoting the growth of the industry;
- To strengthen the competitiveness and service quality of the industry by promoting the completion of an effective single European market;
- To influence and improve the legal, fiscal and regulatory environment for the investment management industry;
- To promote high standards of ethics, integrity and professionalism throughout the industry;
- To support highly effective and appropriate investor protection.
In pursuit of these objectives EFAMA seeks:
- To represent the industry as a highly competent, professional and reliable partner in contacts with authorities, regulators and other policy makers and opinion formers;
- To promote and endorse effective self regulation where appropriate;
- To develop good relations with the media and general public inside and outside Europe, in particular to promote transparency, understanding and trust with regard to the industry;
- To develop accepted industry-wide operational standards and best practices;
- To compile and disseminate coherent industry data to support the aims and objectives of the Association.
