Peter De Proft Appointed as New Director General of EFAMA

Brussels, 1 October 2007 – EFAMA, the European Fund and Asset Management Association, has announced today that Peter De Proft will take over the EFAMA secretariat from Steffen Matthias early 2008. Peter De Proft (53), previously CEO of Fortis Investments Belgium, joins the EFAMA team today as Director General. Early 2008 Steffen Matthias will step down as Secretary General and hand over the secretariat to Peter de Proft. Steffen Matthias (62), who set up and has been in charge of the EFAMA secretariat since 1990, will continue serving EFAMA as Senior Advisor.
