EFAMA's first “Investor Education Day” will be held in Brussels on 7 November 2012.  The overall objective of the conference is to raise awareness about investor education by sharing best practices in investor and financial education in the European Union.  EFAMA strongly believes that more needs to be done to improve levels of investor information and education.  This is a vast and challenging topic that ideally should be jointly addressed by all stakeholders in the financial service industry, including bankers and insurers, investor associations, national associations, as well as European and other international bodies.  It is in this spirit that EFAMA has taken the initiative to organize the conference, which is free-of-charge, in order to showcase the many initiatives its members have already put in place and to bring key stakeholders together to commit to further action.
