EFAMA has created a documents' area as part of its efforts to improve
public awareness and understanding of the investment management
industry and the policy issues that affect it. EFAMA wishes to provide
in a single area a wide selection of documents of public interest on
issues that are central to its mission organised by theme areas.
Documents issued by European Institutions and other EU and
international bodies are also provided.

Investment Management
This theme area aims at improving the public understanding of the
investment management industry by delivering information about
investment products - including product regulation and structure - as
well as portfolio management techniques.

Management Company
This section contains information about the regular business of the
management company, the regulation covering the manager's operational
and organisational issues, capitalisation requirements, as well as
issues linked with the execution of the investment policy e.g. best
execution

Regulatory Environment
This section aims at keeping track of future regulatory initiatives on
behalf of the European Insttitutions in the field of UCITS, in
particular these linked with the planned Commission's "Green Paper"

Corporate Governance and Company Law
This section is dedicated to issues concerning corporate governace in
general, and the governance of listed companies. Particular emphasis is
given to he Commission's Company Law Action Plan including transparency
and corporate governance reporting. Issues linked with the governance
of funds and investment management companies are dealt with under the
section 'Integrity'.

Distribution and Marketing
This section provides a series of documents with respect to the
marketing and distribution of funds, investor's disclosure and
reporting, cross-border distribution isssues and customer oriented
issues.

Tax Issues
This section groups a series of surveys and documents related to the
taxation of UCITS, tax discrimination issues, the taxation of savings
directive, VAT problems etc

Pensions
This theme area hosts EFAMA documents and information relevant to the pension regulation (the IORP directive) and the pension business in general.
