Elona joined EFAMA in December 2020. She is a Policy Advisor with the EFAMA Regulatory Policy team and coordinates and assesses the EU core policies concerning ELTIFs, Benchmarks ad Data.
Prior to joining EFAMA, Elona was leading the work on retail financial services, consumer protection and dealing with COVID-19 related issues affecting the retail sector at the European Banking Federation. Her prior financial services experience includes working at the Luxembourg Bankers’ Association (ABBL) and the Association of the Luxembourg Fund Industry (ALFI,) as well as the Generali Group.
Elona holds an M.A. degree in European Interdisciplinary Studies at the College of Europe as well as at the University of Padua. She is an Italian-Albanian dual national, speaks fluent English and has a working knowledge of French.
