Willem joined EFAMA in January 2026. He is a Regulatory Policy Advisor with the Capital Markets & Digital team, focusing on regulatory issues relating to MiFID II/MiFIR, consolidated tape, and capital markets integration.

Prior to EFAMA, Willem worked as a Tax Consultant at Deloitte for over two years, where he handled compliance and advisory services for SMEs, alongside transfer pricing documentation and Pillar 2 global minimum tax implementations. He holds a Master's degree in Economic Law from VUB (Vrije Universiteit Brussel), following his studies in law.

Willem is a native Dutch speaker with fluent English and basic knowledge of French.
