One of the novelties introduced by the AIFMD and UCITS review is the harmonised regime for the selection and use of LMTs by UCITS and open-ended AIFs.

In this session, we will discuss the opportunities and challenges posed by the LMTs regime, including the recently published technical standards on LMT characteristics and the ESMA guidelines on determining and calibrating LMTs.

Frederique Lifrange, partner in the alternative funds practice at Elvinger Hoss, will guide us through these new obligations, concentrating on a selection of the most challenging elements for AIFs, and Yves Elvinger, partner and expert in undertakings for collective investment (including ETFs), will address the topic from the perspective of UCITS.
