The next EU legislative cycle: what to expect for financial services

From 6-9 June this year, EU citizens will be electing the new Members of the European Parliament. This heralds the start of a new legislative cycle, with many changes also expected at the European Commission. What will this mean for financial services regulation going forward? Various policymakers, supervisors and other organisations have identified their priorities, including addressing competitiveness, completing the Capital Markets Union project, and furthering EU integration.

To learn more about what this means for you, join us on 24 April from 10:30-11:30 CET as David Reed, Senior Partner at Kreab Brussels, provides an overview and explains the possible ramifications for the next 5 years of EU policymaking. Over the last 20 years he has advised many of the world’s largest global financial institutions and their trade associations on European financial regulatory reforms, advocacy, and reputation building, and prior to that he worked in the asset management unit of the European Commission’s DG FISMA.
