Today, EFAMA has published its latest Monthly Statistical Release for March 2026.
Thomas Tilley, Deputy Director of Research & Senior Economist at EFAMA, commented on the March 2026 figures: “As the war with Iran disrupted global capital markets and weighed on investor sentiment, UCITS fund flows turned negative in March. However, net outflows amounted to only around 0.2% of net assets, suggesting that investor confidence remained broadly resilient.”
The main developments in March can be summarised as follows:
UCITS and AIFs recorded net outflows of EUR 38 billion, compared to net inflows of EUR 143 billion in February 2026.
UCITS noted net outflows of EUR 41 billion, compared to net inflows of EUR 136 billion in the previous month.
Long-term UCITS (UCITS excluding money market funds) saw net outflows of EUR 25 billion, compared to net inflows of EUR 117 billion in February. Of these, ETF UCITS attracted EUR 14 billion in net inflows, down from EUR 49 billion in the previous month, but net flows remained positive.
Equity funds registered net outflows of EUR 11 billion, compared to net inflows of EUR 61 billion in February 2026.
Bond funds recorded net outflows of EUR 15 billion, compared to net inflows of EUR 36 billion in February 2026.
Multi-asset funds saw net outflows of EUR 2 billion, compared to net inflows of EUR 17 billion in February 2026.
UCITS money market funds registered net outflows of EUR 17 billion, compared to net inflows of EUR 19 billion in February 2026.
